Hello, Friend

oh, hello friend was started in the summer of 2008. It all began at my boring + uncreative desk job. I remember sitting at my desk quite bored and uninspired. I had been wanting to start a shop on the side and they didn’t have much work for us that day so I began to think of possible names to call my shop. oh, hello friend was very close to being called “hello lovely” but I opted for “friend” instead – a term my friend and I would call each other in high school. In college, I studied graphic design at the encouragement of my mom. While attending the Art Institute, I met my husband Nick. We were married in September 2010. Owning a business runs in my family so I guess it was inevitable that I start my own business!

I blog daily at oh, hello friend and sell at craft shows all around the country. I also run an online shop. I love to travel and explore new (& old) places! I really love the rain, it’s the best. I also love vintage + antiques. I think the stories and history behind old things are so interesting. My family often tells me that I was born in the wrong era.
